Gelato has launched a new version of our interface to customize editable templates, one of the most widely used features of Gelato Globe, commonly used to personalize business cards, marketing and sales material, or even to enable co-branding with your resellers and distributors.

To access the new editor, just select an editable template that you have uploaded using our free print plugin for Adobe and click on the Customize button.
Once the file is open with the new editor, you can scroll through the file, customize editable fields in-line (with the option to expand the view to simplify text input), zoom in and out using the dedicated control at the bottom-right corner of the screen, switch between print preview and edit view using the toggle button at the top-right and even download a PDF version of the customized file.
When you are done, just click Add to cart and proceed to checkout.
Tip: You can also add a Watermark to your designs!
How to adjust the settings of the Editor
As an Admin you will be able to activate or deactivate specific attributes that users of the account will be able to use in the Design editor.
Go to Settings => Design Editor
Versioning
If you want to save a draft of the file you are customizing, so you can go back to it at a later point, you need to:
- Open the drop down menu available in the Save button
- Click Save
A new version of the file will be created under the section Version history. Open the section and you will be able to see the version saved with a time stamp.
To continue customization just click on it.
Once you are done customizing, just add to cart and place your order!
Tip: To have a better view and control of your work in progress you can rename the versions saved:
Option to 'Save as'
If enabled by your Admin, you will be able to save a new version of the file under 'My folder'. This will allow you to have a draft of your customization easily accessible, it will also allow you to have multiple customized versions of the file (i.e a customized version of your business card with different office addresses).
Click on Save as..
Name the file and click Save
The file will now appear in your private folder.
